Improving Practice Processes

This plan was made up by a group of PM's after some discussion on how to create a good topic for practice sessions.  The theme is bloods but we feel this could be applied to almost any process within your practice.

Bloods

Facilitator: Practice Manager

  1. Outcomes – whole team discuss what you want to get out of session (15 mins)
    1. Reduce workload for doctors/admin
    2. Reduce risk (lost tests)
    3. Create one mapped process for all to work with

  1. Review of Current Processes – small groups of 4-6 people (30mins)
    1. Map process with post-it notes as it works at present and then bring together creating flowchart

  1. Identify Risk Areas (pitfalls) – one group – get everyone to put up 3 ideas each of an area in the process they think is a problem (30 mins)
